Before you buy — recording law. Australian law limits where cameras may be placed and when audio may be recorded. Cameras are not permitted in bathrooms, bedrooms or any area where a person has a reasonable expectation of privacy, and audio recording of private conversations is restricted differently in each state and territory. Check your state's rules before installing, particularly if the camera will be in a shared house, a rental or a workplace.
