Wi-Fi model — for cameras within reliable range of your home or business router. No SIM, no data plan.
4G model — for anywhere your Wi-Fi does not reach. It connects over the mobile network using its own SIM, which is what makes it workable on rural blocks, remote sheds and off-grid sites.
A 4G camera will not run on Wi-Fi alone and a Wi-Fi camera will not run without a network in range, so check coverage at the exact spot the camera will be mounted before you order. If there is any doubt, the 4G model is the safer choice.
